Georgia Milestones: What is the End of Course Assessment?
Georgia requires students in specific courses to take Georgia Milestones End of Course (EOC) assessments. This applies to all public school students, including middle schoolers taking high school courses. The EOC score counts as the final exam and factors into the course grade. Students transferring into Georgia public schools must also pass the EOC to earn course credit.
The following courses require a Georgia Milestones EOC assessment:
- American Lit/Comp
- Biology
- Algebra Concepts and Connections
- US History
Georgia Milestones EOC: How to code your assessment
Students taking a Georgia Virtual course needing a Georgia Milestones EOC assessment should code their test according to the State Directed Use (SDU A). Georgia Network for Education and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) programs and the Georgia Virtual School use SDU A to report the two-digit facility identification code. GaVS students should code this area regardless of where they are tested.
