Meet Adrian
Adrian graduated from high school in May 2026 after taking six Georgia Virtual School courses throughout his high school career both as a public and homeschool student. Taking GaVS courses during his senior year of high school allowed time to focus on growing his business, Shock Wash LLC. Adrian shared his thoughts on taking courses through the Georgia Virtual School.
“The Georgia Virtual School gave me the freedom and flexibility to combine entrepreneurship and education during my senior year of high school. I liked the asynchronous format and the go-at-your-own-pace approach. GaVS required time management skills and the ability to learn independently, while also providing guidance and instruction. I was able to work on growing my business during the day, while studying in the evenings and on weekends. In my Advanced Financial Algebra class, I made the capstone project relevant to my business with a research topic on ‘Compensation and Payroll Analysis: Cost Comparison of W-2 Employees vs. 1099 Contractors for Shock Wash LLC.'”
