How to use the GaVL Course Catalog:
Use the filter and search functions to explore the comprehensive course catalog. The catalog provides detailed descriptions of all courses offered, including prerequisites, credit hours, course fees, and course content.
Use the course catalog to assist in planning a student’s academic journey and aid in the creation of class schedules. Create a list of courses to print by checking the box in the top left corner of the course tile to add to the catalog bookmarks, represented by the book icon.
Public School Students
Local schools will pay tuition and fees for students enrolled in a GaVS course that is part of the student's regular school day. Fee waivers are available for students who are experiencing homelessness. Please reach out to your local school district's McKinney-Vento liaison to see if you qualify.
Private and Homeschool Students
During fall and spring semesters, students are able to make use of a state-funded allotment that is available on a first-come first-served basis. Students can take up to six half units or three full units of credit per semester using state funds. Once the allotment is reached, all students will be required to pay tuition.
Out-of-State Students
Out-of-state students are required to pay all tuition and fees associated with their GaVS courses.
Credit Recovery Students
The GA DOE Credit Recovery Program provides students, who did not initially succeed in obtaining course credit, with the opportunity to retake a course to earn credit towards graduation. Credit Recovery courses have flexible schedules and are not facilitated by a teacher. The Credit Recovery Program allows students, who have completed seat time and calendar requirements, to earn credit based on competency of the content standards.
